Trip to Himalayas
At 24, I spent six months exploring Nepal—a trip that changed my life. I spent 21 days trekking the Himalayas, reaching heights of 5,416 meters and witnessing landscapes of unimaginable beauty. Beyond the mountains, I was touched by the warmth of the local people, whose lives reflected a serene simplicity and a truly vibrant aliveness.
What an amazing journey of experiencing freedom, vastness, quietness unlike any other, awe-inspiring beauty, strength, expansion, humbleness in front of the mighty and magnificent nature! One of those experiences where thoughts freeze and you just shower in the beauty and powerful presence of nature and the present moment.

The external journey happened in parallel with the internal. I was transcending fears and weaknesses, opening up to the present moment and whatever it required at that specific time and space. It is wise to approach mountains with respect, skillfulness, and an awareness of the climate—which can be surprising and even dangerous—as well as the landscape and altitude.
While overcoming the physical challenges of the terrain and my own fitness, my spirit was also tested; there was no way but to move forward with strong willpower. In the end, the rewards were immense: both physically, with breathtaking views that felt like sitting on the roof of the world, and spiritually, through a sense of empowerment, openness, and surrender to life.
What an incredible teacher Nature is! Connecting to Mother Earth is nourishing; she always speaks, as long as we are willing to listen and learn her language. What a joy to be reminded how wonderful life is—I feel so grateful for the opportunity to have experienced this beauty. This experience has nourished me for many years, and it continues to do so even through the memory of it. An intimate connection was created between me and Mother Earth; she took me lovingly into her embrace, and I love and thank her for that.
Earth is our home and mother, she is always there for us to nourish, guide and give inspiration for life.
